I saw these flowers while staying in a XIV century château in Brittany and they reminded me of ^Anoya
who has a couple
of similar flowers in her Gallery, so I decided to use my Lensbaby (which is also a tool she inspired me to get) and shot a series of close-ups for her Natural Colours contest
I nearly used Air
for the title as well, mainly because I was looking for something French and I needed something light and airy!
Finally, I called it Éclat d'Arpège
, as a memory of a Lanvin perfume I used to have, presented in a delicate purple bottle. It had a light fruity floral notes, it blended femininity and sensuality, spontaneity and elegance.
